Timothy Stockwell, PhD - Psychologist, Addictions and Public Policy
Dr. Tim Stockwell reviews medical content for Healthwise, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help people make better health decisions. Dr. Stockwell is the Director of the Centre for Addictions Research of British Columbia, located at the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia. The Centre for Addictions Research of British Columbia has produced a wide range of reports, supported consultation and processes, and secured considerable research funding. The Centre works closely with multiple Canadian government departments to ensure the best available evidence is considered in the policy-making process. Dr. Stockwell was also the former Director of Australia's National Drug Research Institute before his present appointment in Canada. Dr. Stockwell also served as a Lecturer at the Addiction Research Unit, Institute of Psychiatry, University of London, in London, England.
