Endarterectomy for Unknown Stenosis With Symptoms
Before you can decide about having an endarterectomy, you need to know how narrowed your arteries are. If you have had symptoms, such as a TIA or mild stroke, but you don't know the amount of stenosis (narrowing) in your carotid arteries, you need to see your doctor. He or she can help you find out the percentage of narrowing you have. Then the two of you can decide if you need an endarterectomy.
